Hello!
You may have guessed by the title of this blog that I’m lover of etiquette. I’m not stuffy, but I do love a tiny sandwich and scones with tea. I also love historical dining and everything antique and vintage tableware. If you want to have a little fun visiting the peccadillos of the past, entertain with an antique flair or just collect pretty things for your table, put the pot on and pull up a chair!
What I’m not is a martinet. Do I follow the rules of etiquette always? Nope. You should see me when I drive in rush hour, it isn’t pretty. What I do is try to observe the rules that make sense for being a good human being. Sometimes I like to visit the dinners, clothes and interiors of the past, but as the brilliant Dandy Wellington says, “Vintage style not vintage values”.
